Punjab Field Hospitals Gratitude for Rapid Health Facilities
Chief Minister Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the Field Hospitals project in all districts of Punjab. In which medicines will be delivered to patients at home. In a short period of six weeks, all health facilities have been delivered to the doorsteps of the people.

Deployment of Clinic on Wheels in Rural Areas
The Chief Minister’s “Clinic on Wheels” program has been introducing to cover urban slums on the proposal of the P&SH Department. The program aims to provide dedicated vehicles (passenger vehicles and ultrasound vehicles) equipped with essential medical facilities in 36 districts of Punjab.
The goal is to bridge the gap in access to healthcare in slums by deploying a staff of trained healthcare professionals.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that field hospitals will spread mostly in rural areas so that all medical facilities can be provided to the people there. He further said that an announcement will also made in the village that there is a field hospital at a specific location where the people of the village can get their treatment free of cost.

Purpose and Reach of Punjab Field Hospitals
Field hospitals are establishing in areas where there is no big hospital or good clinic. It is like a complete hospital in which you will be provided with all the basic facilities like a good clinic. About 32 field hospitals spread in different areas of Punjab. For Punjab women’s Benazir Kafaalat payment distribution also started.
Operations & Service Package of Clinic On Wheels
Suzuki Bolan vehicles will ply in slums and peri-urban areas from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 3 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm. The number of vehicles will range from three to 18 depending on the population. An ultrasound vehicle will included for every four-passenger vehicles. The daily task will prepared for each vehicle through the 1034 Call Response Center.

| 3-10 vehicles will be attached to each district of Punjab. For every 5 vehicles, 1 vehicle equipped with an ultrasound machine will be available. Timings: 9 am to 3 pm, Monday to Saturday. Method Of Enforcement
Medical Officer Lady Health Visitor is dispatch with medicines. And other equipment including dispensers and vaccinators to provide the following services as per the operational plan.
- Treatment of minor diseases and referral for specialty care.
- Provision of family planning services including counseling and provision of pregnancy products.
- Referral for antenatal and postnatal care, delivery, and maternal health education.
- Provision of safety packs for children up to two years of age.
- To provide education on nutritional screening and treatment for children under five years of age.
- Diagnostic tests include Hepatitis B and C, hemoglobin, and Diabetes screening. To initiate health education and counseling sessions on all preventive health care methods and lifestyle changes.
- To provide information for the management and operation of vehicles under the Chief Minister’s Clinic in Wells by outsourcing the services to a third party.
Way Forward For The Punjab Government
The initial response of the people living in slums is encouraging for the government. This model of services can easily transferred to areas where health and socio-economic conditions are completely poor. And the people living there are not familiar with all the facilities of the hospital. Here, providing first aid through these mobile vehicles is a big challenge for the government.
