Honhaar Scholarship Program Phase II
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has started again Honhaar Scholarship Program Phase-2 2025 for the Punjab Students. In which 120000 PKR is being given to each student of 67 departments in the form of annual scholarships.
Government universities as well as lower universities are being included in this program. 65 government and private universities, 12 medical and dental colleges, and 359 colleges have been included.

Honhaar Scholarship Program 2025
Under Honhaar Scholarship Program Phase-2 announced by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, scholarships are to be provided to 2570 students. Including 1660 students and 637 students belonging to minority communities. A total of 30 thousand students, each of whom will be given an annual scholarship of 120000.
Recently, 1886 scholarships have been distributed to boys and girls under this program alone, and the distribution process is still going on all over Punjab.
Scholarship Provisional Merit Lists Phase-II
In the Honhar Scholarship Program, the merit list is prepared by the Program Committee. According to the eligibility criteria of the students, the merit list is linked to the verification of documents and monthly family income.
In the merit list criteria, the relevant institutional verification and verification committee as well as the provisional verification and award committee conduct interviews of the students. After that, the documents are completely verified. After this a final list is prepared which consists of the eligible students.In phase one, the lists have been prepared recently using this method and the students have been given scholarships.

New Eligibility Criteria for Honhaar Scholarship 2025
Before becoming a part of the scholarship program, you must fulfil the eligibility criteria given below.
- You must have a district domicile in Punjab.
- Your age should not be more than 22 years on the last date.
- The family’s monthly income should be less than Rs 30,000. For this, you need to have an affidavit. by verifying the following:
- Salary/Income certificate of your father, guardian, or mother. Copies of utility bills (electricity and gas) for the past 3 months. Rent Agreement (if applicable) Affidavit on stamp paper stating the family’s monthly income is less than Rs. 30,000 Any additional documents requested by the committee.
- The applicant must have been admit in the selected subjects in the selected universities or colleges from the fall of 2024. Any additional documents requested by the committee.
- Newly admitted MBBS and BDS students in 2024 are also eligible for this Honaar scholar program.
- Medical Colleges: More than 80%.
- Top Universities: More than 80%.
- Public Sector Universities: Sciences: More than 75%. Arts and Social Sciences: More than 70%.
- HED Colleges:Sciences: More than 65%.Arts and Social Sciences: More than 60%.
Ineligible Candidates Criteria
The following students will not be eligible under this Honhaar program.
- Students who enrolled before Fall 2024 or haven’t applied online (except 2024 matric and FSc toppers) are not eligible.
- Candidates already receiving a full tuition fee scholarship from any federal or provincial government program (like PHEC, HEC, PEEF, or university scholarships) cannot apply.
- Students who submit fake documents at any stage will be disqualified.
- Applicants with a domicile outside Punjab are not eligible.
- The eligibility for the scholarship will decided by the Institutional Scrutiny and Verification Committee.
- Students who fail to provide the required documents or proof of academic performance will be disqualified.
- Only students from partner universities/colleges can apply.
- Students whose parents/guardians earn more than Rs. 300,000 per month are not eligible.

Distribution Of Honhaar Funds
Funds will only given to students who maintain the following minimum CGPA during the University/College study:
- a) Scale: GPA should not be less than 2.50 in each semester during the study but 3.00 is mandatory.
- b) In the 5.00 Scale, the GPA should not be less than 3.50 in each semester during the study.
- c) Annual System (General) required at least 60% marks.
- d) MBBS/BDS Programs minimum 50% marks is mandatory.
- e) In Fine Arts, Architecture, and Similar Programs Minimum of 60% marks is mandatory.
If a student fails to meet the required GPA/CGPA or grade criteria University/College, the Honhaar scholarship will not be provided for that semester or annual system.
