Chief Minister of Punjab has decided to launch the Maryam Nawaz Honhar Scholarship Phase II under the Maryam Nawaz Scheme. The approval was given at the last cabinet meeting. The Chief Minister of Punjab says that those students who cannot meet their educational expenses have to take the help of a job to meet their educational expenses.

In CM Punjab Honhar Scholarship Phase One, the Punjab government has distributed scholarships only to students studying in the first semester. At the request of various universities and students, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has decided to start Maryam Nawaz Honhar Scholarship Phase II for 2nd & 3rd Year students as well.
Maryam Nawaz has issued instructions to the Education Minister to start registration for these students in the Honhar Scholarship as soon as possible. A big budget has also been approved by the provincial cabinet for the Maryam Nawaz Honhar Scholarship Phase II. Therefore, those students who have not been included in Honhar Scholarship Phase I should apply for Maryam Nawaz Honhar Scholarship Phase II now and get the scholarship.

- Visit Honhaar Portal: First of all, go to the Honhaar portal https://honhaarscholarship.punjabhec.gov.pk/
- Register and Login To Portal: Register by clicking on the Register Now button and log in using your National Identity Card and password.
- Personal Information: In the application form, first, enter all your personal information as asked.
- Educational & Institute Detail: Then enter information about your institute and educational information.
- Socio-Economic Detail: In the third box, provide details about your household circumstances and assets.
- Review & Submit Application: Then review your application by clicking on the Review Now button and after the review is complete, apply by clicking on the Submit button.
Honhar Scholarship New Eligibility Criteria
A new eligibility criteria has been provided for the inclusion of 2nd & 3rd Year students in the Maryam Nawaz Honahar Scholarship, which must be met. If you meet it, you will be included in Honahar Scholarship Phase II. And your scholarship will start. The eligibility criteria are provided to you below.
- The applicant’s age should be 23 years as on the last date.
- The applicant should be studying in any government or private university.
- Your enrollment should be in one of the programs provided by the government.
- The student’s first-year CGPA should be more than 3.2.
- The applicant should belong to Punjab and have a domicile in any district of Punjab.
- The applicant should not be receiving any other scholarship already.

Maryam Nawaz Honhar Scholarship 2025 Updates
The Punjab Chief Minister has approved Rs 100 billion for the Maryam Nawaz Honhaar Scholarship in the recent provincial cabinet meeting. Under the new budget, the Punjab government has also decided to increase the number of Punjab Honhar Scholarships. In 2025, scholarships will be provided to about 50,000 students under the Honhar Scholarship.
Only 30,000 Scholarships are being distributed in Punjab Honhar Scholarship Phase I. Therefore, the Chief Minister has decided to add 20,000 new scholarships for Phase II and has also approved a new budget for this. The Punjab government will also make second and third-year students a part of the Honhar Scholarship program in 2025, so interested students should register as soon as possible and get the scholarship after qualifying.
